There were claims yesterday that former president Jonathan was invited to the inauguration of incoming U.S president Donald Trump while current president Buhari isn’t invited.
The media advisors of Buhari have rebuked the claim. According to them, current presidents don’t get invited to U.S. inaugurations.
Garba Shehu, official spokesperson to Buhari wrote, “Gentlemen, I think we should respond to refute this falsehood. The US does not invite Heads of State or President to the inauguration of their Presidents. Our President could therefore not have been snubbed.“
