Everyone sures loves the hit series, Jenifa Diary and the Charismatic Nollywood actress Funke Akindele known for the comic character, is 40 years old today.
Akindele Olufunke Ayotunde, popularly known as Jenifa, was born August 24, 1976 in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
She is an exceptional Nigerian actress who won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2009.
She worked in television before switching to cinema, becoming known for her starring role in the family-oriented Nigerian television show I Need to Know. Akindele’s qualifications include an OND in Mass Communication from the Ogun State Polytechnic and a law degree from the University of Lagos.

Just so you know, Funke became famous after featuring in popular United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) sponsored sitcom, I Need To Know. She played Bisi, a curious but highly intelligent secondary school student. The sitcom ran for 4 years, 1998 to 2001.
Funke studied mass communication in the former Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. The talented actress is also a graduate of Law from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba.
