Who wants to buy? The Bible (pictured) late American rapper, Tupac Amaru Shakur read while serving time at a maximum security prison has been put up for sale.
"A member of Tupac's family put the bible in the hands of online dealer Moments in Time -- which set the price at a cool $54k. The late rapper signed it along with his inmate number from the 9 months he spent at Clinton Correctional Facility in 1995. We're told Tupac's estate is not behind the sale. But when the bible sells we're told the family will get a bulk of the cash," - TMZ reports.
2015 Election: DSS arrests two Supreme Court Justices, five other Judges over bribery allegation
The Federal Government has commenced the arrest of judges who purportedly took bribe to subvert justice in their rulings on the 2015 general elections.
The Department of State Services, DSS, last night arrested two Supreme Court justices for their alleged roles in subverting justice in favour of one of the two leading political parties in Akwa Ibom State and another state in the South East.
The secret police also apprehended three judges from Sokoto, Bauchi and Kano, who were also taken into custody.
Disclosing the arrest of the judges, a source in the Federal Ministry of Justice told Vanguard that, “The Federal Government has commenced the arrest and detention of some corrupt judges as part of its effort to cleanse the judiciary.
“This exercise has just begun and will continue until the bad eggs are flushed out to give the country a new lease of life.
”The operation may not be concluded tonight but I can assure you that we will carry it to a logical conclusion in the overall interest of the nation.”It was learnt that a popular Federal High Court judge in Abuja from the South West and another who recently countered his colleague’s judgement relating to the ongoing crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were also arrested.
Also, some alleged fraudulent court registrars were said to be taken into custody.
Earlier, the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike had intervened when a combined team of the DSS and the Police came for a judge in Port Harcourt.

The Leadership of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, has declared a state of emergency on the judiciary following the arrest of some judges by agents of the State Security Service in the early hours of today October 8th.
At a press briefing which had in attendance past NBA presidents like Olisa Agbakoba, Wole Olanikpekun and others, the President of the NBA, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN) decried the manner in which the judges and their family members were manhandled and arrested by the security agents who claim the judges were arrested over their involvement in "corrupt practices". He called for the immediate release of the arrested judges and their family members.
“I want to emphasise again that we are not under military rule and we cannot accept this unholy event and Gestapo-style operation. We, therefore, call on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately caution all the state security agencies and to respect the rule of law and to respect due process. Any issues affecting the judicial officers, there are established procedures for handling them and we demand that this constitutional process must be obeyed. Given the unfolding nature of the event and the seriousness of the situation, the NBA hereby declares a state of emergency as it affects the affairs of the judiciary and I hereby constitute a crisis management team, comprising all past presidents of the association. I want to, on behalf of the association, make the very following clear and unequivocal demands: we demand the immediate and unconditional release of all the judges abducted from about 9pm yesterday. The release must be done immediately and without any conditions. Two, we demand that the Department of State Services should limit itself to its statutory and constitutional responsibilities. I’ll be meeting with the CJN later tonight or tomorrow. There will be consequences should these demands are not met.”he said
Kidnappers of Ekiti APC chieftain’s wife demand N40m ransom
The kidnappers of the wife of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Mr. Samuel Ajibola, popularly known as 50/50, have demanded a ransom of N40m.
Ajibola, who defected to the APC in July, was a member of the last Ekiti State House of Assembly and was the only member of Peoples Democratic Party in the assembly before Governor Ayodele Fayose assumed office in October 2015.
He was the Special Assistant on Parliamentary Affairs to the governor until he resigned on May 31, citing poor remuneration.
Ajibola in a social media post said his wife was kidnapped by gunmen on Friday at about 8:30 pm at their Omuo Oke community in Ekiti East Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
“At gunpoint, my wife surrendered the key of our car to the kidnappers and they drove her away to an unknown destination.”
He revealed on Saturday evening that he was able to speak with his wife at about 5:45pm since she was abducted late Friday night.
He said the kidnappers claimed that he was their actual target and demanded N40m ransom for the release of his wife.
The Ekiti Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alberto Adeyemi, while confirming the report to our correspondent said police had begun investigation into the matter.
“Available information indicated the kidnappers escaped through Ikole Ekiti. We have informed the police in Kogi and Kwara states for collaboration.
“There is no hiding place for the kidnappers.”

I won’t quit US presidential race – Trump
Donald Trump rejected calls that he step aside as the Republican presidential nominee over lewd videotaped remarks about women, telling The Wall Street Journal on Saturday there is “zero chance I’ll quit.”
“I never, ever give up,” the newspaper quoted Trump as saying following calls by some Republicans that he quit the race after being caught in a 2005 videotape boasting of groping women’s genitals with impunity.
The videotape, released Friday by The Washington Post, forced a rare apology from Trump on the eve of a crucial debate with Democrat Hillary Clinton, and set off an uproar in his Republican party.
“Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize,” Trump said early Saturday in a videotaped statement posted on his Twitter account.
It was believed to be the first apology of his 16-month White House campaign, one peppered by controversies over his treatment of women.
But Trump then undercut his words, calling the disclosure a “distraction,” defiantly attacking the Clintons for husband Bill Clinton’s past infidelities, and hinting strongly he would have more to say on the topic in Sunday’s debate in St Louis, Missouri.
“We will discuss this more in the coming days. See you at the debate on Sunday,” he said.
In The Wall Street Journal interview, Trump denied his campaign was in crisis, and predicted the controversy would blow over.
“The support I’m getting is unbelievable, because Hillary Clinton is a horribly flawed candidate,” he said.
The three-minute video captures Trump reacting to an actress he was about to meet as he arrived on the set of daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” for the taping of a segment in which he was to have a cameo appearance, the Post said.
“I’ve gotta use some Tic Tacs (breath mints), just in case I start kissing her,” Trump says to Billy Bush, then host of the “Access Hollywood” show about celebrities.
“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful. I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet,” he says.
“I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything.”
Trump also is heard bragging about trying to have sex with a married woman.
“I moved on her and I failed. I’ll admit it,” the billionaire Trump tells Bush, using an expletive for how he tried to have sex with her.
“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married,” Trump says.
The tape was recorded months after Trump married his third wife, Melania, according to the Post.
“I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone I’m not,” Trump said in his apology.
“I pledge to be a better man tomorrow.”
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd), has ordered the immediate lifting of the ban on rice importation from import restriction list and the re-introduction of import duty payment at land borders. Public Relations Officer of customs, Wale Adeniyi announced this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja today.
“Over the years importation has been restricted to the seaports because border authorities have found it difficult to effectively monitor and control importation of rice. When the decision to ban it rice was taken, it was not an effective measure because smuggling of the product thrives with people using different means of conveyance including small trucks, bicycles and even animals putting them on donkeys and some actually carry it on their heads. These new measures will be for customs to re-organize their anti-smuggling operations in the border areas and ensure that all those importers through the borders bring their rice through approved routes and pay their extant duty”he said.
Brad Pitt: FBI to close alleged child abuse case because there's no case
Read the report from TMZ below...
Brad Pitt will not be prosecuted for the incident on his private jet ... in fact, we've learned there was never an investigation in the first place because FBI sources say there's no case. TMZ broke the story.. after the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services started its investigation into allegations Brad struck his 15-year-old son on a private jet, the LAPD was notified and turned the matter over to the FBI, which has jurisdiction.
Well-placed law enforcement sources tell us the FBI never opened an investigation, and say the matter should never have even been referred to the agency.
The Bureau's official position is that they are still fact-gathering, though they are not calling it an investigation. Behind the scenes, we're told the case will go nowhere.
As we reported, Maddox suffered no injuries and some witnesses on the jet say Brad's contact with the boy was inadvertent.
Sources connected with Angelina Jolie put it out there that she did not want Brad prosecuted, but the reality is ... that was never going to happen anyway.
DCFS has interviewed family members but, as far as we know, the dept. has taken no action with respect to custody. As we reported, for now Angelina has full physical custody of the couple's 6 kids.
