Beautiful daughter of Late Dora Akunyili, Njideka who is a professional painter has broken a personal sales record as she sold a painting for a whooping $1,092,500.
Njideka Akunyili Crosby set a new record for the artist last Thursday at Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening Sale.
The 2012 painting – “Drown” – was initially estimated to sell for $200,000 – $300,000 but it sold for $1,092,500.
