A 55-year old mother of seven, Mrs Oluchukwu Nkwazoma has been arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrate’s court for hiding another woman’s husband, Alloy Benson Njoku in her house in Lagos.
The incident happened in her house at 16, Panada Street, Isolo, Lagos where Oluchukwu resides.
She was charged with conspiracy and conduct likely to cause breach of public peace under the Criminal Code.
Trouble started after Alloy who resides at Mushin Road in the same Isolo community informed his wife, Chizoba that he was traveling to Abuja for a business transaction and asked her to manage a stipend until he comes back with money.
While the obedient mother of two wished her hubby safe journey unknown to her he moved into Oluchukwu’s house where he hibernated for several days before the wife ran into her husband and the other woman on the road.
P.M. EXPRESS gathered that both Alloy and Oluchukwu from Imo State, had known each other before they met again and then rekindled their relationship.
While they are separately married and attend same church, angry Chizoba alleged that she didn’t know that their relationship continued after Oluchukwu had separated from her own husband.
When Chizoba met her husband and Oluchukwu strolling on the street, she immediately raised an alarm, accused her husband of betrayal and asked him to follow her back to their house. But Oluchukwu stopped him but asked Alloy rather to follow her back to her house.
An embittered Chizoba followed them and continued to protest that the other woman forced out her husband from the house.
This angered Oluchukwu who then ordered her grown up children to beat up Chizoba in the presence of her husband who did nothing.
The matter was reported to the police at Aswani division who initially arrested all the parties involved in the matter, but then discovered the cause of the fight.
Oluckukwu was later charged to the court with the alleged offence.
She pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K Shonubi granted her bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.
Oluchukwu was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 6 Febuary 2017 //
