Maybach Music rapper Wale has been handed a lawsuit after failing to appear at the One Africa Music Fest.
According to TMZ, Upfront and Personal Global paid him $25,000 in two installments for a performance in New York but he failed to appear.
“In the docs — obtained by TMZ — Upfront shows an alleged signed contract between Wale’s camp and the company, plus 2 wire transfers for $12.5k a piece. They claim after Wale bailed on the show, he went radio silent on ’em when asked for a refund.”
Wale’s current representative told the news site that his former manager collected money for the gig but failed to deliver monies to the rapper.
