This decison stems from a meeting held with Commissioner of Transportation, Commandant of Civil Defence, General Manager, LASTMA and Commander RRS among others at the office of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni.
Mr. Owoseni noted an increase in the crimes commited by motorcyclists in the metropolis, particularly, in prohibited routes. It is therefore paramount to enforce the law banning motorcycles from restricted routes in the State.
Starting From Friday, 27th January 2017, motorcyclists got plying Alausa, Ikeja, Victoria Island and Ikoyi route will be arrested with their bikes impounded.
He advised motorcyclists to avoid prohibited routes.
A word they say is enough for the wise. Hope the bike men will listen.
