The speaker of the house Abubakar Yahaya Kusada announced the constitution of the committee following a motion on urgent public importance sponsored by Umar Dikko representing Matazu constituency.
Ibrahim Matazu informed the house that the motion is about what transpired at an event in NYSC camp attended by Gov. Aminu Bello Masari & other important dignitaries outside the state.
According to one of his aide, “The former speaker Muduru ever since his impeachment has maintained a life away from the media and crowd to avoid bad misrepresentation that will subject him to scrutiny of whatever form”.
“So it came as a surprise to us and well-wisher’s on why the former speaker has suddenly become the target of public scrutiny even when he has dis-engaged himself from the public except on peculiar occasion as an invited guest”.
He further added the APC supporters present at the event on sighting the former speaker begun to shout 'Kara Jiya Da Yau' in Hausa Language.
Hon Matazu added that about 30min into the event former speaker Muduru arrived at the venue in the company of thugs who began to interrupt proceedings by chanting “KARA JIYA DA YAU” in Hausa langauge.
He calls on the house to look at the activities of the impeached speaker at public function which he noted are ridiculing the leadership of the house.
He said “the utterances are undermining the capacity & integrity of the house in public eyes”.
“The interruption at the event with negative chants aimed at the new speaker forced the governor to act & call the thugs to order” says Hon. Matazu.
Members at the siting agreed to unanimously call the speaker’s actions.
The speaker RT. Hon Yahaya Kusada constituted the committee that has Sani Lawal representing Baure as chairman; other members in the committee include members representing Matazu, Mashi, and Funtua.
The committee is to report its findings on Wednesday to the house.
On the other hand, there were mixed divergent view on whether the former speaker has a hand in what happened in the event that took place at the NYSC camp.
Witnesses revealed to our cliqqmagazine.com that the speaker met the crowd of thugs already at the ground of the events which he has no control over them talking less of telling them to keep quite.
Another witness Auwal told our reporter that the former speaker was not happy with the utterances of thugs which he has no control over them.
