Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos has stopped Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) from carrying out their operations on roads in the state.
The order is with immediate effect. Though details of the order are still sketchy, it was learnt that the governor hearkened to complaints from motorists about the alleged illegal operations of the state officials.
Motorists in Lagos state had constantly complained about the harsh method Vehicle Inspection Officers carry out their activities.
Meanwhile, the governor has emphasized the need for Nigerians to embrace selfless service to humanity, saying that such remained the essence of existence to positively impact others. //
