It was an awesome time yesterday, Thursday after Serving Corps members in Ogbomoso North, Oyo State got tested by their fellow Corps members, who are trained to carry out the HIV testing and counselling.
Before the testing, the Local Government Inspector (LGI), Mr Ayoola Bright, addressed all the Corps members posted to Ogbomoso North at the Ojagbo Town Hall before giving the C-pet (Corps Peer Educator Trainer) CDS group the opportunity to carry out what would be the final project of Batch B 2016/2017 corps members in C-PET special CDS group.
The chief speaker for the group was a Corps member, known as Dr Tim, who spoke about Red blood cells, how HIV could be transmitted, how it can be prevented and some other HIV related issues.
Mixed reactions trailed when it was time to carry out the testing as some corps members were afraid to carry out the testing, however some took courage to checkout their HIV status.

All of these units were organized and we'll coordinated to carry out the program.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to interview the president of the group and the LGI or the assistant LGI.
