A Nigerian Professor, Simon V. Irtwange, who is allegedly a lecturer at University of Agriculture, Makurdi, shared photo of a seminar report of his student, who acknowledged his girlfriend for her support during the seminar research.
The Professor took to his Facebook page to share the picture of the seminar report and wrote;
“Trying to grade 500 level seminars before proceeding to the wedding of the daughter of Tor Tiv and became seriously entangled in a character matter…found worthy in learning and character?”

Is it an academic ethic not to acknowledge one's friend or partner in a seminar report or project writing if they helped?
However, the professor's decision is justifiable since the lady in question is not married to the man and he called her sweetheart.
