A 27-year-old Toronto woman is the victim of what police describe as murder-suicide in the city.
Police say they were summoned to a condo building on the north end of town on March 6 and found a 30-year-old man dead on a balcony.
After another search, they say they have a woman in a unit with obvious signs of trauma.
She was treated for injuries but eventually died. The police characterize the case as murder suicide and listed 27-year-old Essozinam Assali as the 10th victim of the city’s murder cases year
They identified the 30-year-old man as Edmonton’s Onoseta Oribhabor. Police describe the deaths as a domestic incident and say that no other suspects are being sought.
Ontario has seen an unusually high number of domestic deaths since the beginning of the year. Se’xual violence experts have documented more than a year dozens of cases of women or their family members killed by former or current partners.
