Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Olisa Metuh, who is facing corruption charges, on Wednesday, arrived for continuation of his trial before the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, in a wheelchair.
Metuh was wheeled into the courtroom to continue his defence to the seven-count charge the EFCC, preferred against him and his firm, Destra Investment Limited.
Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja, however, on Thursday adjourned ruling to decide whether or not to grant the application to travel abroad for medical treatment.
After listening to arguments of both parties, the trial judge, asked parties to the matter to submit all authorities cited by their counsels to the court before 12:00 noon on Friday.
Justice Abang held that upon the receipt of the authorities, the court will determine the date for ruling on Metuh’s application.
