Nigerian singer, Lami Phillips has narrated how her husband surprised her with a trip to Dubai. To her greatest surprise, she met three of her friends at the airport who had made her believe earlier that they had no travel plans.
Her post reads:
”Everyone knows I hate surprises.. don’t know how the hubby pulled this one off. Somehow im at the airport with the kids.. and he tells me.: you’re off to Abu Dhabi for your birthday.. I’m just getting over that and I see my best friends at the airport too.. major coup plot!!!!!! @_polikwaptiwa had made me believe she was housesitting and saw me the day before talking about a hectic work week. @annetoniaa had Lied about being overwhelmed with work. @kelonline as long as three years had refused to renew her passport.. Labs I don’t know how but really.. you make love so easy! I literally fell down in shock… and they captured the moment!’ Thanks boyfriend 🙌🏼😌🙏🏻 and thanks my friends for making me feel special”.

Lami, who is a mother of two, first debut in the Nigerian music scene in 2009 when she dropped her first album titled ‘Intuition. Her full names are Lami Phillips-Gbadamosi, and from her Instagram profile, she’s also an actress, though movies she’s starred in are not disclosed.
She was born in Chicago were she spent her early years before moving to Nigeria. She was influence by different genres most especially RnB, Jazz, Soul and some of the act she took interest in are Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Tupac Shakur, Anita Baker, Sade, Kim Burell, Jill Scott, Otis and many more.
